Ryan Aplin sliced and diced the Tigers defense for 302 yards as Arkansas State handed Memphis a 33-28 defeat on Saturday at ASU Stadium.

Memphis was outgained by Arkansas State 619-293 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 33-13 by the Red Wolves.

Arkansas State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 32:48/27:12 split in that important category.

Next game, Arkansas State takes its act on the road to face Nebraska looking for another win. For Memphis, they head home to face Middle Tennessee.
