Golden Flashes Fall 26-13 Against Boston College - Game Recap
The Eagles were Week 2 winners on Saturday, coming out on top of the Golden Flashes by a score of 26-13 at Alumni Stadium.
The Eagles earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 17-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 46.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Dave Shinskie completed 18 of 27 pass attempts for 214 yards for the Eagles in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Jacquise Terry rushed for 13 yards for Kent State, while Spencer Keith added -4 yards. Spencer Keith threw for 201 yards for the Golden Flashes, while receivers Tyshon Goode and Jacquise Terry had 53 and 43 yards respectively.
Boston College outgained Kent State 305-205 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 19-10 by the Eagles.
Kent State lost the time of possession battle 34:19/25:41, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Boston College takes its act home to face Virginia Tech looking for another win. For Kent State, they head on the road to face Penn State.
