Buffalo Falls 31-30 to Huskies - Recap
Northern Illinois earned a 31-30 victory over Buffalo on Saturday in Week 8 action at UB Stadium.
Northern Illinois did not, however, defeat the Bulls against the spread, which closed at 14 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 61.5.
Chandler Harnish completed 11 of 26 pass attempts for 150 yards for the Huskies in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Branden Oliver rushed for 112 yards for Buffalo, while Chazz Anderson added 56 yards. Chazz Anderson threw for 404 yards for the Bulls, while receivers Alex Neutz and Marcus Rivers had 135 and 114 yards respectively.
Northern Illinois was outgained by Buffalo 572-328 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 33-15 by the Bulls.
The time of possession battle favored Buffalo as their offense was on the field for 31:17, longer than the 28:43 of their opponents.
Next game, Northern Illinois takes its act on the road to face Toledo looking for another win. For Buffalo, they head on the road to face Miami (Ohio).
