Longhorns vs Rebels Final: 66-31 - Recap
David Ash was good for 326 yards through the air on Saturday as the Longhorns got past the Rebels by a score of 66-31 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
The Longhorns were a 10.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 51.5.
Malcolm Brown rushed for 128 yards, while Marquise Goodwin added 80 yards in the win. Mike Davis and Marquise Goodwin added 124 and 102 receiving yards respectively.
Jeff Scott rushed for 95 yards for Mississippi, while Barry Brunetti added 25 yards. Bo Wallace threw for 178 yards for the Rebels, while receivers Donte Moncrief and Korvic Neat had 144 and 57 yards respectively.
Mississippi lost the offensive yardage battle to Texas 676-399 yards in Saturday's game. Texas had more first downs as that total ended up 29-19.
Mississippi lost the time of possession battle 37:03/22:57, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Texas looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Oklahoma State. Mississippi will aim to get back on the winning track at Tulane.
