Stanford walks over Washington State
The Stanford Cardinals opened their season and Pac-10 play with a 39-13 win over the Washington State Cougars at Martin Stadium in Week 1.
Stanford covered as a 17-point road favorite while the final score played over the 51.5-point total.
The Cardinal rolled behind the 193 passing yards from QB Andrew Luck and the 121 yards from RB Toby Gerhart.
The Cougars offense managed 351 total yards with the majority of those coming from QB duo of Kevin Lopina and Marshall Lobbestael, who combined for 200 passing yards and one touchdown.
