Recap - Cougars Defeat Idaho State 64-21
The battle between the Cougars and Bengals didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Idaho State was handed a 64-21 defeat on Saturday at Martin Stadium.
Washington State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 29.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 53.5.
Marshall Lobbestael completed 14 of 19 pass attempts for 230 yards for the Cougars in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Jarrod Daniels rushed for 14 yards for Idaho State, while Jahmel Rover added 9 yards. Kevin Yost threw for 386 yards for the Bengals, while receivers Rodrick Rumble and Josh Hill had 218 and 58 yards respectively.
Idaho State lost the offensive yardage battle to Washington State 590-453 yards in Saturday's game. Washington State had more first downs as that total ended up 28-17.
Washington State lost the time of possession battle 33:39/26:21, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Washington State takes its act home to face UNLV looking for another win. For Idaho State, they head on the road to face BYU.
