LSU Defeats Auburn 12-10 - Recap
The Tigers were Week 4 winners on Saturday, coming out on top of the Tigers by a score of 12-10 at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
LSU did not, however, defeat the Tigers against the spread, which closed at 18 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 45.5.
Zach Mettenberger completed 15 of 27 pass attempts for 169 yards for the Tigers in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Tre Mason rushed for 54 yards for Auburn, while Onterio McCalebb added 24 yards. Kiehl Frazier threw for 97 yards for the Tigers, while receivers Emory Blake and Philip Lutzenkirchen had 56 and 29 yards respectively.
Auburn lost the offensive yardage battle to LSU 351-183 yards in Saturday's game. LSU had more first downs as that total ended up 15-9.
LSU led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:11/26:49 split in that important category.
LSU looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Towson. Auburn will aim to get back on the winning track vs Arkansas.
