Rebels vs Lobos Final: 45-10 - Recap
Michael Johnson was good for 138 receiving yards on Saturday as the Rebels grabbed a 45-10 win over the Lobos at Sam Boyd Stadium.
UNLV won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 10.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 50.5.
Omar Clayton completed 14 of 20 pass attempts for 194 yards for the Rebels in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Demond Dennis rushed for 88 yards for New Mexico, while Tarean Austin added 16 yards. Tarean Austin threw for 177 yards for the Lobos, while receivers Chris Hernandez and Bryant Williams had 66 and 51 yards respectively.
New Mexico was outgained by UNLV 415-291 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 19-17 by the Rebels.
UNLV lost the time of possession battle 31:01/28:59, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, UNLV takes its act home to face Nevada looking for another win. For New Mexico, they head home to face Texas El Paso.
