Wyoming vs UNLV Wrap - UNLV Wins 42-16
The battle between the Rebels and Cowboys didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Wyoming was handed a 42-16 defeat on Saturday at Sam Boyd Stadium.
UNLV was the ATS victor, as they covered the 4-point spread as an underdog. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 52.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
Omar Clayton completed 13 of 18 pass attempts for 163 yards for the Rebels in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Alvester Alexander rushed for 92 yards for Wyoming, while Austyn Carta-Samuels added 28 yards. Austyn Carta-Samuels threw for 108 yards for the Cowboys, while receivers T.J. Smith and Zach Bolger had 59 and 48 yards respectively.
Wyoming was outgained by UNLV 376-273 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-15 by the Rebels.
The time of possession battle favored UNLV as their offense was on the field for 32:13, longer than the 27:47 of their opponents.
Next game, UNLV takes its act home to face Air Force looking for another win. For Wyoming, they head home to face Colorado State.
