Washington State Falls 30-7 to Golden Bears - Recap

Isi Sofele scampered through the Washington State defense for 138 yards as California handed the Cougars a 30-7 defeat on Saturday at AT&T Park.

The Golden Bears were a 8.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 55.5.

Zach Maynard completed 10 of 17 pass attempts for 118 yards for the Golden Bears in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Rickey Galvin rushed for 73 yards for Washington State, while Carl Winston added 34 yards. Marshall Lobbestael threw for 155 yards for the Cougars, while receivers Marquess Wilson and Jared Karstetter had 85 and 26 yards respectively.

California outgained Washington State 411-224 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-14 by the Golden Bears.

Washington State lost the time of possession battle 33:21/26:39, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

California looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Oregon State. Washington State will aim to get back on the winning track vs Arizona State.
