Middle Tennessee Defeats Western Kentucky 27-26 - Recap
The Blue Raiders grabbed a Week 12 victory over the Hilltoppers on Saturday, winning 27-26 at L.T. Smith Stadium.
The Blue Raiders earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 5.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 52.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Dwight Dasher completed 12 of 25 pass attempts for 68 yards for the Blue Raiders in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Bobby Rainey rushed for 248 yards for Western Kentucky, while Antonio Andrews added 42 yards. Kawaun Jakes threw for 98 yards for the Hilltoppers, while receivers Bobby Rainey and Dexter Haynes had 34 and 34 yards respectively.
Middle Tennessee lost the offensive yardage battle to Western Kentucky 395-208 yards in Saturday's game. Western Kentucky had more first downs as that total ended up 19-11.
Middle Tennessee lost the time of possession battle 38:18/21:42, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Middle Tennessee heads into a Week 13 battle against Florida Atlantic. Western Kentucky, meanwhile, will have their next action against Troy.
