Recap - Cardinals Defeat Buffalo 28-25
Jahwan Edwards tore up the turf for 112 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Cardinals to a 28-25 win over the Bulls at Scheumann Stadium.
The Cardinals earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 4-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 51.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Keith Wenning completed 24 of 36 pass attempts for 226 yards for the Cardinals in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Branden Oliver rushed for 118 yards for Buffalo, while Chazz Anderson added 59 yards. Chazz Anderson threw for 149 yards for the Bulls, while receivers Alex Neutz and Marcus Rivers had 78 and 74 yards respectively.
Buffalo was outgained by Ball State 400-353 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 20-17 by the Cardinals.
The time of possession battle favored Ball State as their offense was on the field for 33:22, longer than the 26:38 of their opponents.
Next game, Ball State takes its act home to face Army looking for another win. For Buffalo, they head home to face Connecticut.
