Washington Defeats San Diego State 21-12 - Recap

The Aztecs came up short against the Huskies in Week 1 action on Saturday, falling 21-12 at CenturyLink Field.

The Huskies earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 15.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 55.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Keith Price completed 25 of 35 pass attempts for 222 yards for the Huskies in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Walter Kazee rushed for 86 yards for San Diego State, while Ryan Katz added 77 yards. Ryan Katz threw for 128 yards for the Aztecs, while receivers Colin Lockett and Tim Vizzi had 48 and 47 yards respectively.

San Diego State was outgained by Washington 328-327 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 22-16 by the Huskies.

Washington led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:03/28:57 split in that important category.

Next game, Washington takes its act on the road to face LSU looking for another win. For San Diego State, they head home to face Army.
