Idaho Falls 38-7 to Bobcats - Recap
The battle between the Bobcats and Vandals didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Idaho was handed a 38-7 defeat on Saturday at Bobcat Stadium.
The Bobcats were a 2.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 54.5.
Shaun Rutherford completed 14 of 19 pass attempts for 182 yards for the Bobcats in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
James Baker rushed for 48 yards for Idaho, while Ryan Bass added 36 yards. Dominique Blackman threw for 161 yards for the Vandals, while receivers Jahrie Level and Todd Handley had 87 and 39 yards respectively.
Texas State outgained Idaho 519-315 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 25-15 by the Bobcats.
Idaho lost the time of possession battle 35:58/24:02, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Texas State takes its act on the road to face San Jose State looking for another win. For Idaho, they head on the road to face Louisiana Tech.
