Recap - Beavers Defeat California 49-17
Sean Mannion's 481-yard performance through the air was the key in Oregon State's 49-17 win over California on Saturday at California Memorial Stadium.
The Beavers were a 11.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 71.5.
Chris Brown rushed for 36 yards, while Terron Ward added 34 yards in the win. Brandin Cooks and Storm Woods added 232 and 63 receiving yards respectively.
Darren Ervin rushed for 40 yards for California, while Zach Kline added 28 yards. Jared Goff threw for 220 yards for the Golden Bears, while receivers Chris Harper and Richard Rodgers had 93 and 68 yards respectively.
California lost the offensive yardage battle to Oregon State 570-366 yards in Saturday's game. Oregon State had more first downs as that total ended up 31-19.
California lost the time of possession battle 33:28/26:32, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Oregon State takes its act home to face Stanford looking for another win. For California, they head on the road to face Washington.
