Northwestern State Falls 66-9 to Bearcats - Recap
Hosey Williams scampered through the Northwestern State defense for 117 yards as Cincinnati handed the Demons a 66-9 defeat on Saturday at Nippert Stadium.
Cincinnati won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 30-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 55.5.
Brendon Kay completed 12 of 14 pass attempts for 277 yards for the Bearcats in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Rumeall Morris rushed for 84 yards for Northwestern State, while De'Mard Llorens added 22 yards. Zach Adkins threw for 79 yards for the Demons, while receivers Louis Hollier and Ed Eagan had 19 and 17 yards respectively.
Northwestern State lost the offensive yardage battle to Cincinnati 669-179 yards in Saturday's game. Cincinnati had more first downs as that total ended up 28-12.
The time of possession battle favored Cincinnati as their offense was on the field for 31:49, longer than the 28:11 of their opponents.
Next game, Cincinnati takes its act on the road to face Miami (Ohio) looking for another win. For Northwestern State, they head on the road to face UAB.
