Southern Methodist Defeats Memphis 34-29 - Recap
Garrett Gilbert threw for 321 yards to lead the Mustangs over Memphis 34-29 on Saturday in Week 8 action at Liberty Bowl.

Memphis was outgained by Southern Methodist 460-320 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-21 by the Mustangs.
The time of possession battle favored Memphis as their offense was on the field for 33:25, longer than the 26:35 of their opponents.
