Recap - Longhorns Defeat Iowa State 31-30
The Longhorns grabbed a Week 6 victory over the Cyclones on Thursday, winning 31-30 at Jack Trice Stadium.
The Longhorns earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 7-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 54.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Case McCoy completed 26 of 45 pass attempts for 244 yards for the Longhorns in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Aaron Wimberly rushed for 117 yards for Iowa State, while Sam B. Richardson added 83 yards. Sam B. Richardson threw for 262 yards for the Cyclones, while receivers Quenton Bundrage and E.J. Bibbs had 137 and 43 yards respectively.
Texas lost the offensive yardage battle to Iowa State 463-363 yards in Thursday's game. Texas had more first downs as that total ended up 23-21.
Iowa State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:47/25:13 split in that important category.
