Tigers Fall 66-3 Against Troy - Game Recap
The battle between the Trojans and Tigers didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Savannah St was handed a 66-3 defeat on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Troy was the ATS victor, as they covered the 51.5-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 61.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
Corey Robinson completed 17 of 19 pass attempts for 180 yards for the Trojans in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Victorian Hardison rushed for 12 yards for Savannah St, while Sheldon Barnes added 10 yards. Leon Prunty threw for 78 yards for the Tigers, while receivers Cantrell Frazier and Kris Drummond had 49 and 45 yards respectively.
Savannah St was outgained by Troy 531-147 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 27-10 by the Trojans.
The time of possession battle favored Troy as their offense was on the field for 33:23, longer than the 26:37 of their opponents.
Troy heads into a Week 3 battle against Arkansas State. Savannah St, meanwhile, will have their next action against Miami.
