Southern Methodist's aerial attack produced 317 yards and the Mustangs produced a 31-30 victory over Montana State on Saturday at Gerald J. Ford Stadium.

Cody Kirk rushed for 107 yards for Montana State, while Shawn Johnson added 40 yards. DeNarius McGhee threw for 218 yards for the Bobcats, while receivers Tanner Bleskin and Brian Flotkoetter had 73 and 56 yards respectively.
Montana State was outgained by Southern Methodist 461-378 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 25-22 by the Bobcats.
Montana State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:29/26:31 split in that important category.
