Recap - Spartans Defeat Wyoming 51-44
San Jose State's aerial attack produced 482 yards and the Spartans produced a 51-44 victory over Wyoming on Saturday at Spartan Stadium.
The Spartans earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 10.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 71.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Jarrod Lawson rushed for 128 yards, while Tim Crawley added 27 yards in the win. Tyler Winston and Chandler Jones added 171 and 129 receiving yards respectively.
Shaun Wick rushed for 234 yards for Wyoming, while Brandon Miller added 82 yards. Brett Smith threw for 267 yards for the Cowboys, while receivers Robert Herron and Jake Maulhardt had 149 and 29 yards respectively.
San Jose State outgained Wyoming 642-599 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 28-24 by the Spartans.
Wyoming lost the time of possession battle 35:58/24:02, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
San Jose State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against UNLV. Wyoming will aim to get back on the winning track vs Fresno State.
