Recap - Vikings Defeat Buffalo 36-14
The battle between the Vikings and Bills didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Buffalo was handed a 36-14 defeat on Friday at The Metrodome.
Minnesota was a favorite by 2.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 36.5.
Christian Ponder completed 10 of 13 pass attempts for 136 yards and 1 TD for the Vikings in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Fred Jackson rushed for 27 yards for Buffalo, while Tashard Choice added 15 yards. Vince Young threw for 123 yards for the Bills, while receivers T.J. Graham and Naaman Roosevelt had 69 and 60 yards respectively.
Buffalo was outgained by Minnesota 421-317 yards in Friday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 18-15 by the Vikings.
Buffalo lost the time of possession battle 31:41/28:19, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
