Falcons Fall 27-23 Against Baltimore - Game Recap

Baltimore got 2 scoring strikes from Tyrod Taylor en route to a 27-23 victory over Atlanta on Thursday in Preseason Week 2 action at M&T Bank Stadium.

Baltimore won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the 5-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 42.5.

Damien Berry rushed for 19 yards, while Tyrod Taylor added 15 yards in the win. Torrey Smith and Aaron Mellette added 85 and 40 receiving yards respectively.

Josh Vaughan rushed for 44 yards for Atlanta, while Steven Jackson added 42 yards. Dominique Davis threw for 98 yards for the Falcons, while receivers Julio Jones and Darius Johnson had 55 and 50 yards respectively.

Baltimore lost the offensive yardage battle to Atlanta 422-249 yards in Thursday's game. Atlanta had more first downs as that total ended up 27-13.

Baltimore lost the time of possession battle 39:40/20:20, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Baltimore takes its act home to face Carolina looking for another win. For Atlanta, they head on the road to face Tennessee.
