Commodores Fall 56-24 Against Texas A&M - Game Recap
Johnny Manziel sliced and diced the Commodores defense for 305 yards as Texas A&M handed Vanderbilt a 56-24 defeat on Saturday at Kyle Field.
Texas A&M won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 17-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 69.5.
Trey Williams rushed for 65 yards, while Brandon Williams added 61 yards in the win. Malcome Kennedy and Mike Evans added 83 and 77 receiving yards respectively.
Jerron Seymour rushed for 53 yards for Vanderbilt, while Brian Kimbrow added 31 yards. Patton Robinette threw for 216 yards for the Commodores, while receivers Jordan Matthews and Jonathan Krause had 92 and 89 yards respectively.
Vanderbilt lost the offensive yardage battle to Texas A&M 558-329 yards in Saturday's game. Texas A&M had more first downs as that total ended up 28-19.
The time of possession battle favored Vanderbilt as their offense was on the field for 32:19, longer than the 27:41 of their opponents.
Texas A&M looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Texas El Paso. Vanderbilt will aim to get back on the winning track at Florida.
