Colonels Fall 44-7 Against Louisville - Game Recap
Teddy Bridgewater led the way with 397 passing yards on Saturday as the Cardinals picked up a 44-7 victory over the Colonels at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
Louisville did not, however, defeat the Colonels against the spread, which closed at 40.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 55.5.
Senorise Perry rushed for 36 yards, while Michael Dyer added 22 yards in the win. DeVante Parker and Gerald Christian added 134 and 74 receiving yards respectively.
Jared McClain rushed for 27 yards for Eastern Kentucky, while Thomas Owens added 26 yards. Jared McClain threw for 85 yards for the Colonels, while receivers Jeff Glover and Devin Borders had 35 and 32 yards respectively.
Louisville outgained Eastern Kentucky 475-206 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-12 by the Cardinals.
Eastern Kentucky lost the time of possession battle 29:13/25:26, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
