Rutgers vs Louisville Recap - Cardinals Win 24-10
Teddy Bridgewater was good for 310 yards through the air on Thursday as the Cardinals got past the Scarlet Knights by a score of 24-10 at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
Louisville won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the 19-point spread. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 55.5.
Senorise Perry rushed for 104 yards, while Dominique Brown added 21 yards in the win. Damian Copeland and Kai De La Cruz added 115 and 56 receiving yards respectively.
Justin Goodwin rushed for 38 yards for Rutgers, while Savon Huggins added 22 yards. Gary Nova threw for 202 yards for the Scarlet Knights, while receivers Brandon Coleman and Ruhann Peele had 66 and 58 yards respectively.
Rutgers lost the offensive yardage battle to Louisville 461-240 yards in Thursday's game. Louisville had more first downs as that total ended up 25-15.
The time of possession battle favored Louisville as their offense was on the field for 33:12, longer than the 26:48 of their opponents.
Next game, Louisville takes its act home to face Central Florida looking for another win. For Rutgers, they head home to face Houston.
