Arkansas State vs Missouri Wrap - Missouri Wins 41-19
The battle between the Tigers and Red Wolves didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Arkansas State was handed a 41-19 defeat on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
Missouri won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 21.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 62.5.
James Franklin completed 20 of 29 pass attempts for 255 yards for the Tigers in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
David Oku rushed for 36 yards for Arkansas State, while J.D. McKissic added 36 yards. Adam Kennedy threw for 308 yards for the Red Wolves, while receivers Julian Jones and J.D. McKissic had 136 and 117 yards respectively.
Missouri outgained Arkansas State 495-425 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 25-23 by the Red Wolves.
Missouri lost the time of possession battle 34:12/25:48, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Missouri takes its act on the road to face Vanderbilt looking for another win. For Arkansas State, they head home to face Idaho.
