Kentucky vs South Carolina Wrap - South Carolina Wins 35-28
South Carolina got a 106-yard performance from Mike Davis as a key part of its 35-28 victory over the Wildcats on Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium.
The Gamecocks earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 21.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 54.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Connor Shaw completed 17 of 20 pass attempts for 262 yards for the Gamecocks in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Jalen Whitlow rushed for 69 yards for Kentucky, while Jojo Kemp added 40 yards. Jalen Whitlow threw for 178 yards for the Wildcats, while receivers Javess Blue and Ryan Timmons had 62 and 36 yards respectively.
Kentucky lost the offensive yardage battle to South Carolina 453-301 yards in Saturday's game. South Carolina had more first downs as that total ended up 22-19.
The time of possession battle favored Kentucky as their offense was on the field for 30:15, longer than the 29:45 of their opponents.
Next game, South Carolina takes its act on the road to face Arkansas looking for another win. For Kentucky, they head home to face Alabama.
