Army vs Air Force Wrap - Air Force Wins 42-28
Air Force got a 263-yard performance from Anthony LaCoste as a key part of its 42-28 victory over the Black Knights on Saturday at Falcon Stadium.
Air Force won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 1-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 53.5.
Nate Romine completed 7 of 8 pass attempts for 111 yards for the Falcons in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Terry Baggett rushed for 121 yards for Army, while Larry Dixon added 82 yards. Angel Santiago threw for 109 yards for the Black Knights, while receivers Xavier Moss and Terry Baggett had 35 and 33 yards respectively.
Army lost the offensive yardage battle to Air Force 454-417 yards in Saturday's game. Army had more first downs as that total ended up 28-17.
The time of possession battle favored Army as their offense was on the field for 37:32, longer than the 22:28 of their opponents.
Next game, Air Force takes its act on the road to face New Mexico looking for another win. For Army, they head home to face Western Kentucky.
