Calgary Falls 5-3 to Penguins - Recap

The Penguins earned a 5-3 victory over the Flames on Saturday at Scotiabank Saddledome.

Pittsburgh won as a +100 underdog, while Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 5.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Craig Adams, Evgeni Malkin, Matt Niskanen, Tyler Kennedy, and Jordan Staal each scored for the Penguins in the victory. Kennedy opened the scoring for Pittsburgh, finding the back of the net at 1:04 of the second period. The goal was assisted by Pascal Dupuis and Deryk Engelland.

Marc-Andre Fleury turned in a 17-save effort for the Penguins.

Calgary got goals from Olli Jokinen, Curtis Glencross, and Rene Bourque in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 32 of 36 shots for the Flames, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Pittsburgh went 2-for-5, while the Flames were 0-for-3 with the man advantage.

Calgary lost the shots on goal battle to Pittsburgh by a margin of 37-20.

Pittsburgh looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Oilers. The Flames will aim to get back on the winning track at St. Louis.
