Hurricanes clip Penguins in overtime
Brian Pothier scored the winner in the extra period to lift the Carolina Hurricanes past the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 in overtime on Thursday night.
Carolina won as +120 home underdogs, while the game played OVER the 5.5-goal total listed by oddsmakers.
Pothier added an assist in regulation for the Hurricanes, who also got a goal and an assist from both Eric Staal and Ryan Whitney in the payday.
Pascal Dupuis had a pair of helpers for Pittsburgh, which outshot Carolina 40-21 on the night.
