The New York Rangers ended a five-game losing skid by defeating the New York Islanders 5-2 Thursday for a split of the home-and-home set.

Ryan Callahan scored twice on the power play, while Marian Gaborik also tallied with the man advantage. Chris Drury, and Artem Anisimov potted the other goals for the Rangers, and Henrik Lundqvist made 30 saves in the win.
