Thrashers beat Canadiens in OT

Ilya Kovalchuk netted the overtime winner for the Atlanta Thrashers, giving them a 4-3 overtime win against the Montreal Canadiens at Philips Arena Saturday.

Atlanta won as a -139 home favorite while the final score played OVER the 6-goal total.

Kovalchuck added an assist to his numbers while Thrashers winger Colby Armstrong also recorded a goal and an assist.

Andrei Kostitsyn scored twice for the Canadiens while Glen Metropolit scored in the first period.
