Umberger, Blue Jackets skate past Blues

R.J. Umberger recorded a hat trick, including the winner early in the third period to lead the Columbus Blue Jackets over the St. Louis Blues 5-2 on Monday night.

Columbus cashed as -130 home favorites, while the game played OVER the 5.5-goal total listed by oddsmakers.

Umberger also had an assist for the Blue Jackets, who got a goal and an assist from both Antoine Vermette and Kris Russell in the payday.

Paul Kariya and Erik Johnson scored for St. Louis, which outshot Columbus 29-27 on the night.
