The battle between the Maple Leafs and Canadiens didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Montreal was handed a 6-0 defeat on Saturday at Bell Centre.

Toronto got goals from Dion Phaneuf, Phil Kessel, James van Riemsdyk, Tyler Bozak, Korbinian Holzer, and Leo Komarov in the victory. Komarov opened the scoring at 0:59 of the first period.
James Reimer turned in a 37-save effort for the Maple Leafs.
Montreal got a 21-stop effort from Carey Price in the loss.
On the power play, Toronto went 2-for-6, while the Canadiens were 0-for-4 with the man advantage.
Toronto lost the shots on goal battle to Montreal by a margin of 37-27.
Toronto heads into a battle against the Flyers. Montreal, meanwhile, will have their next action against Tampa Bay.
