The battle between the Lynx and Liberty didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as New York was handed a 73-47 defeat on Tuesday at Prudential Center.

The Lynx were a 9-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 152.5.

Minnesota got 18 points from Lindsay Whalen and another 11 points from Maya Moore. Seimone Augustus contributed 3 assists, while Maya Moore cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.

New York got 13 points from Cappie Pondexter in a losing cause and another 12 points from Plenette Pierson. Plenette Pierson contributed 3 assists for the Liberty, while DeLisha Milton-Jones had 7 rebounds.

Minnesota led at halftime, 39-21.

Minnesota won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 47-39.

Minnesota looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Storm. The Liberty will aim to get back on the winning track vs Indiana.
