Anaheim Ices Buffalo 6-2 - Recap

The battle between the Ducks and Sabres didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Buffalo was handed a 6-2 defeat on Friday at Honda Center.

Anaheim got goals from Ryan Getzlaf (3), Dustin Penner, Andrew Cogliano, and Cam Fowler in the victory. Getzlaf opened the scoring at 2:11 of the first period.

Frederik Andersen turned in a 25-save effort for the Ducks.

Buffalo got goals from Mikhail Grigorenko (2) in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Ryan Miller stopped 28 of 34 shots for the Sabres, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Anaheim went 2-for-2, while the Sabres were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

Buffalo lost the shots on goal battle to Anaheim by a margin of 46-27.

Next game, Anaheim takes its act home to face Vancouver looking for another win. For Buffalo, they head home to face Los Angeles.
