Cam Ward stopped 29 of 34 shots for the Hurricanes, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Anaheim went 0-for-3, while the Hurricanes were 0-for-6 with the man advantage.

Anaheim lost the shots on goal battle to Carolina by a margin of 52-34.

Anaheim heads into a battle against the Canadiens. Carolina, meanwhile, will have their next action against San Jose.
