Buffalo got a goal from Tyler Ennis in the loss, but it wasn't enough.
Jhonas Enroth stopped 34 of 37 shots for the Sabres, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
On the power play, New York went 1-for-3, while the Sabres were 1-for-6 with the man advantage.
Buffalo lost the shots on goal battle to New York by a margin of 38-34.
New York looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Wild. The Sabres will aim to get back on the winning track vs Montreal.
