Pittsburgh Skates Past Washington 4-0 - Recap
The battle between the Penguins and Capitals didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Washington was handed a 4-0 defeat on Wednesday at Verizon Center.

Pittsburgh got goals from Paul Martin, Sidney Crosby, James Neal, and Beau Bennett in the victory. Martin opened the scoring at 6:38 of the first period.
Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 18 of 18 Washington shots in the victory.
Braden Holtby stopped 36 of 40 shots for the Capitals, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
On the power play, Pittsburgh went 1-for-3, while the Capitals were 0-for-3 with the man advantage.
Washington lost the shots on goal battle to Pittsburgh by a margin of 40-18.
Next game, Pittsburgh takes its act home to face New York looking for another win. For Washington, they head home to face Montreal.
