Toronto vs Nashville Recap - Maple Leafs Win 4-0

The battle between the Maple Leafs and Predators didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Nashville was handed a 4-0 defeat on Thursday at Bridgestone Arena.

Toronto won as a -102 underdog, while Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 5.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Joffrey Lupul, Phil Kessel, James van Riemsdyk, and Tyler Bozak each scored for the Maple Leafs in the victory. Kessel opened the scoring for Toronto, finding the back of the net at 13:41 of the second period. The goal was assisted by James van Riemsdyk.

Jonathan Bernier stopped 36 of 36 Nashville shots in the victory.

Pekka Rinne stopped 22 of 26 shots for the Predators, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

Toronto scored 2 times on 4 chances on the power play, while Nashville went 0-for-3 with the man advantage.

Toronto lost the shots on goal battle to Nashville by a margin of 36-26.

Next game, Toronto takes its act home to face Edmonton looking for another win. For Nashville, they head home to face New York.
