Howard, Phillies crush D-Backs

Ryan Howard hit a pinch-hit grand slam as the Philadelphia Phillies pounded the Arizona Diamondbacks 9-3 Wednesday, avoiding a sweep of the three-game series.

Philadelphia won the game on the road as +105 underdogs, and the 12 runs were OVER the posted over/under (8.5).

Jimmy Rollins was 2-for-5 with one RBI and a run scored for the Phillies. Jamie Moyer went seven innings, allowing three runs off six hits for the victory.

Orlando Hudson belted a solo home run for the D-Backs. Brandon Medders suffered the loss in relief.
