Lowell lifts Red Sox
Mike Lowell's sacrifice fly drove home David Ortiz in the tenth inning on Saturday, giving the Boston Red Sox a 4-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field.
The Red Sox were road favorites at -120, and the seven runs scored were UNDER the posted total of 10.
Julian Tavarez allowed three runs on six hits in six innings, and Hideki Okajima (2-0) came away with the win. Jason Varitek hit a two-run sixth-inning homer for the Red Sox.
Micah Owings scattered two runs on seven hits over six innings, while Juan Cruz (2-1) took the loss. Stephen Drew was 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs for the Diamondbacks.
