Mets avoid sweep by D-Backs
The New York Mets capitalized on two errors and defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-4 to avoid a sweep of the three-game series at Chase Field Wednesday afternoon.
New York won the game as +150 underdogs, and the 10 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9.5).
Fernando Tatis led the way with three hits in four trips to the plate with one RBI for the Mets. Pedro Feliciano earned the win in relief, and Francisco Rodriguez closed out the game for his 25th save.
Gerardo Parra went 3-for-5 a the plate and scored twice for the Diamondbacks. Jon Rauch gave up the winning run and suffered the loss in relief.
