McCann homers, drives in three to lead Braves
Brian McCann hit his 18th home run of the season and drove in three runs as the Atlanta Braves doubled the Chicago Cubs 8-4 at Turner Field.
The Braves were favored to win at home at -200, while the 12 runs scored were OVER the posted total of 9.5.
Tim Hudson earned the victory, improving to 12-10, by scattering six hits and four runs over six innings. Marcus Giles and Adam Laroche also hit dingers for the Braves.
Angel Guzman's winless season continues, dropping to 0-5. Guzman gave up six runs on seven hits in just over four innings. Jacque Jones hit his 23rd homer of the year for the Cubs.
