Long ball powers A’s

Ryan Sweeney belted a three-run homer Saturday, as the Oakland A’s held on to defeat the Atlanta Braves 5-4 for their second straight win in the series at Turner Field.

Oakland won the game as +130 underdogs, and the nine runs made it OVER the posted over/under (8).

Jack Cust also went deep for the A’s, and Daric Barton had one RBI in the win. Rich Harden allowed just one run and four hits over seven innings to post the victory on the mound.

Mark Teixeira had two hits in four trips to the plate for the Braves. Tim Hudson allowed five runs and five hits over five innings in the loss.
