Astros slip past soggy Braves

After a rain delay, the Houston Astros stayed warm for a 5-1 win over the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field Saturday.

Houston won as a +113 road underdog while the final score played under the 10.5-run total.

First baseman Lance Berkman launched his first home run of the season while outfielder Hunter Pence was 3-for-4. Reliever Tim Byrdak was credited with the win after pitching just over two innings, allowing only two hits and walking two batters.

Braves second baseman Kelly Johnson went 2-for-3 on the day. Starting pitcher Jair Jurrjens pitched two innings before the delay. Buddy Carlyle threw three innings, allowing one earned run on four hits.
