Mariners edge Cubs in 13 innings
The Seattle Mariners scored twice in the top of the 13th inning, and the Seattle Mariners defeated the Chicago Cubs 5-3 Tuesday night at Wrigley Field.
Seattle won the game as +125 underdogs, while the eight runs fell UNDER the posted over/under (8.5).
Jose Guillen homered and finished 2-for-6 at the plate for the Mariners. Eric O’Flaherty pitched 2 2-3 innings of relief for his third straight victory, and J.J. Putz closed out the game with his 19th save.
Derrek Lee was 2-for-4 with one RBI for the Cubs, while Will Ohman took the loss after giving up the winning run.
