Cubs even series with Mets
The Chicago Cubs cruised to a 6-2 win over the New York Mets on Saturday, and evened the three-game series at Wrigley Field.
Chicago won the game as a slight -115 favorite, and the eight runs were a PUSH against the posted over/under (8).
Jacque Jones was 3-for-4 and drove in one run for the Cubs. Ted Lilly improved to (12-5) with the win, allowing seven hits and two runs over 7 2-3 innings on the mound.
Moises Alou belted two home runs for the Mets, and finished 2-for-3 at the plate. John Maine was tagged for six runs over 2 2-3 innings in the loss.
