Brewers split with Cubs
Jody Gerut belted a grand slam home run to lead the Milwaukee Brewers over the Chicago Cubs 7-4 Thursday afternoon, and earned a split of the four-game series at Wrigley Field.
Milwaukee won the game as +145 underdogs, while the 11 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9).
Mike Rivera drove in a pair of runs for the Brewers. Dave Bush tossed 5 2-3 innings for the win, and Trevor Hoffman collected his 33rd save.
Micah Hoffpauir belted a two-run double for the Cubs. Randy Wells surrendered five hits and five runs over four innings in the loss.
